Projects

Organize your API access and usage with projects.

What is a Project?

A project is a container that holds your API keys, authentication settings, and usage tracking. Each project gets its own API key and secret, letting you separate environments (development, staging, production) or different applications.

  • Each project has its own API key and (optionally) API secret
  • Usage and spending are tracked per project
  • A project has no wallet of its own. Its runs are paid from your personal wallet, or from the team wallet for a team project
  • You can create multiple projects under one account

Creating a Project

  1. Go to the Dashboard Navigate to wiro.ai/panel
  2. Open Projects Go to Projects and click New Project
  3. Name your project Enter a descriptive project name
  4. Select authentication method Signature-Based: generates API key + secret  |  API Key Only: generates only an API key
  5. Create Click Create and copy your credentials immediately

API Credentials

After creating a project, copy your API key (and secret, if signature-based) and store them securely. You can see them again later on the Projects page after you confirm it's you with your password or a code we email you. In a team, team admins and the organization owner can see every project's key. Other members see the keys of the projects they created, and only a masked form of the rest. Only the owner of a personal project can see its secret again; for a team project, a team admin or the organization owner can.

Important: Treat your API secret like a password. Never commit it to version control or put it in browser or mobile app code. Keep it on your own server.

Managing Projects

From the Projects page in your Dashboard, you can:

  • Update name: rename your project at any time
  • Change authentication method: switch between Signature-Based and API Key Only; your API key and secret stay the same
  • View usage: see API calls, costs, and task history
  • Delete project: permanently removes the project and revokes all keys

A project's API key never changes. To replace it, create a new project, move your application to the new key, then delete the old project, which revokes its key at once. Changing a project's IP whitelist gives the project a new API secret.
