Epic Disaster Effect Video Generator
Fourteen disaster-movie shots with the person from one portrait in the lead role, including a coastal tsunami wall, a supervolcano, a meteor shockwave and an orbital ring collapse.
Overview
Epic Disaster Effect builds a large-scale catastrophe around the person in a portrait, staged like a set piece from a disaster film. Floodwater and the sea account for five of the 14 presets: a tsunami wall over a coastal megacity, a one-take rooftop rescue in a drowned capital, a rogue wave taking out a bridge, a supercarrier splitting apart in a storm, and a sailor sealing a bulkhead in a flooding submarine.
On land there are lava rivers from a supervolcano fissure, a skyscraper coming down in an earthquake and a helicopter escape from a glacier avalanche. The rest are a meteorite shockwave over a harbor, a tornado seen through a dashcam, a ring structure failing in orbit, a city chase and meteors falling around a rooftop pianist. One is pure fantasy: in Volcanic Fortress Dragon Rescue, your subject plays a knight on a rescue mission at a volcanic fortress with a dragon.
What you can build
Film clubs can make teasers for disaster-movie nights, and interactive fiction apps can put the reader on screen as the survivor.
Inputs
Every scene works from one portrait, and the upload field accepts only one file, in WebP, PNG, JPG, GIF or HEIC. Sharp, well-lit photos of 1024x1024 or larger carry over best, especially with the face turned toward the camera.
Video Mode sets the resolution: Standard for 720p, which is preselected, or Pro for 1080p, which keeps more detail in debris and dust. Portrait 9:16 is the starting frame, landscape and square are available, and durations of 5, 10 and 15 seconds are offered.
Outputs
The app returns an MP4 file. In one sample a pianist plays on a rooftop while meteors streak across the sky; in another, the subject runs across cracking ice and is hoisted up to a helicopter as the glacier gives way.
Limitations
The single upload slot means everyone else in a scene is generated, so you cannot add a friend as a second survivor.
Safety & compliance
Ask for the person's permission before placing their face in a disaster scene.
