Hair Cut Effects
Turns one portrait into a multi-shot video of the person cutting their own hair, from the first snip to the reveal, in one of 12 cuts such as a blunt bob, pixie or mullet.
Overview
Hair Cut Effects recreates the cut-it-myself trend from one portrait, as a run of short shots in which the person chops their own hair into one of 12 styles.
The published sample applies Bob Cut to a blonde woman whose straight hair falls well past her shoulders. Over 10 seconds it moves through six shots: standing in a sunlit bedroom, a side profile with scissors at the jaw, a close-up of the blades closing, a back view mid-cut, the finished chin-length bob under a mist of hairspray, and a last snip at the nape. Her face, white cami and hair color hold steady across shots, while the bedroom replaces the staircase behind her in the source photo.
Each style's preview clip has its own room and shot list; Buzz Cut and Undercut Reveal use electric clippers.
What you can build
- Trend-format clips for TikTok and Reels
- A "what if I cut it" preview in a salon, hair care or beauty app
- Ad creatives for haircut services and hair products
Inputs
One portrait is enough; each of the 12 styles takes a single image. Choose from Bob Cut (default), Curtain Bangs, Pixie Cut, Buzz Cut, Wolf Cut, Blunt Bangs, Ponytail Chop, Mullet Cut, Undercut Reveal, Butterfly Cut, Shag Cut and Micro Bob. Landscape 16:9 and square 1:1 are available besides the default vertical 9:16. Durations are 5, 10 and 15 seconds, and this app starts at 10.
Outputs
The result is an MP4 with sound, and there is no still-image option. The sample is 720 by 1280 pixels.
Recommended settings
Keep the 10-second default: the six-shot sample and every style preview run that long. Long hair in the source photo makes the change easier to see.
Limitations
Shot order and pacing are built into each preset. You cannot describe a custom cut, change the hair color or rearrange the scenes.
Safety & compliance
The person in the source photo should agree to being shown cutting their own hair before any result is posted.
