Scream Effects

Overview

Scream Effects drops the person from a portrait into a scene shot like a slasher film. The setup is always ordinary. Satin Dreams and Daydream Call put the subject on a satin bed talking on the phone, Nail Painting sits them at a table doing their nails, Mirror Lipstick has them at a bathroom mirror, and Kitchen Suspense stands them at a kitchen counter. A figure in a white mask and black hooded robe is close by in every preview: in a doorway, in the mirror behind them, or in the next seat. Popcorn bowls, magazines and posters dress the sets.

The two samples on this page are 10-second clips with sound, but their scenes are not among the five presets, and preset clips come back silent. In one, she is doing her lipstick in a car's mirror at night when the masked figure appears in the back seat, and her face turns to shock. In the other she is on a wall phone in a kitchen when the figure shows up outside the window, the glass cracks, and the clip ends on her terrified face.

Inputs

Upload a portrait of one person (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC and GIF all work) and pick a scene. The clip can be 5 or 10 seconds long and the frame 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1. Duration also offers 15 seconds, but every scene returns a 10-second clip for it. Unless you change them, you get 5 seconds in 9:16.

Outputs

By default you get a still of the staged scene plus the MP4. Only Video or Only Image under Output Type returns just one.

Recommended settings

In every preset the masked figure is already in frame when the clip starts and the motion stays slow, so choosing 10 seconds gives a longer take of the same scene.

Limitations

You cannot write your own scene: the five presets are the whole menu, masked figure included.
