Wan2.2 Effects Extra
Turns one portrait photo into a short Wan 2.2 clip with one of 20 preset effects, ranging from costume and superhero transformations to reactions like crying or laughing.
Overview
Upload a portrait, pick one of 20 effects by name, and Wan2.2 Effects Extra animates the photo with that effect's preset motion. In Assassin a dark hood and leather straps form over the subject, Fluffy Hair puffs the subject's hair out into a big, wavy mane, and Crash brings a heavy press down from above. The animation is done by Wan 2.2, the image-to-video model published by the Wan team.
What you can build
- Effect buttons in a selfie or avatar app
- Reaction clips with Laughing, Crying or Angry Face
- Costume reveals: Assassin, Jungle (the backdrop turns into a sunlit forest and big cats walk up beside the subject), Warrior with armour and a battle axe, a Joker-style makeover, a Hulk transformation and four superhero suit-ups
- Camera moves on a still portrait, like the push-in on one eye in Eye Close-Up
- Effect shots like Electrify (glowing blue eyes, electric energy off the shoulders), Melting Effect and Gun Shooting (muzzle-flash close-ups)
Inputs
One image, uploaded or passed as a URL. The web form accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and HEIC. Every effect expects a photo of one person, and Fluffy Hair is preselected. Under the advanced settings, the seed (0 to 99,999,999, default 42) can be changed for a different take on the same photo and effect; 0 picks a random one on each run.
Outputs
A silent MP4 of 89 frames at 16 frames per second, a little over five and a half seconds. The clip opens on your photo.
Limitations
- There is no text prompt. The photo, the effect and the seed are the only controls.
- Melting Effect and Crash end with the subject melted into a puddle or flattened, so the last frames no longer show the person.
Safety & compliance
Only animate people who have agreed to it. Wan 2.2 is released under the Apache 2.0 license; the Wan team claims no rights over generated content and holds users accountable for how they use the model.
