AI Resume CV Parser
Reads a batch of CVs and returns one structured record per candidate (contact details, skills, certifications, job history and education) in a combined JSON or CSV file, plus one file per CV.
Overview
AI Resume CV Parser is a Wiro app that turns resume files into structured candidate data. One run takes several CVs and returns a combined file with an entry per document, all under the same field names, plus a separate file for each CV.
The published sample parses a chemistry undergraduate's CV and a Node.js developer's CV. Both records come back with identical fields, although one CV lists two certifications and the other none.
What you can build
- An intake step that writes uploaded CVs straight into an applicant tracking system or HR database.
- A talent pool recruiters can search by skill or past employer.
- Clean input fields for your own scoring or matching logic.
Inputs
- CV files: upload several at once. Accepted formats include PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx, .pptm), EPUB, Markdown and CSV. The upload field also lists JPG and PNG, but no text is read from image files.
- File URLs: instead of uploading, paste links to hosted files, separated by commas. Each link has to be reachable.
- Output format: JSON by default, or CSV for spreadsheets and databases.
Outputs
Going by the sample, each record holds the name and current position, email and phone, total years of experience (a plain number in this sample, though it can also come back as text such as "15 years"), the field and institution of the highest degree, skills and certifications as lists, a position history (company, title, years), an education history (institution, faculty, years) and a Filename field.
JSON keeps the two histories nested inside each record. Fields the parser cannot fill stay empty: the chemistry student's record has a null position and no certifications.
Limitations
- The experience figure is the model's estimate. The chemistry undergraduate, whose history is one internship and one student research post, comes out at 5 years, so check the number before filtering on seniority.
- Skills keep the CV's own wording (the Node.js record lists entries such as "Long Polling" and "Layers"). Map them to your own skill list before filtering.
- In the sample, Filename holds a hashed upload name instead of the original file name, so keep your own note of which file you sent.
